Geelong landscape design

Behind every great garden is a detailed and well-considered design. Developing a landscape design is the first and most important step in building your garden. This plan becomes the backbone of your project and is revisited many times along the way.

This is how it works.

Initial consultation

A landscape consultation is a great place to start if you are unsure of your landscape needs or committing to a design. We will visit your garden to look at the existing area and offer ideas and advice for the space. It can be useful at this point to discuss costs and challenges of the site, to get an understanding of what is achievable for your space. After assessing your space, we will provide a quote for the landscape plan. The consultation fee will be waived if you decide to go ahead with a design.

Landscape design

A concept plan provides you with a visual of your new outdoor area. We take your ideas, favourite images, budget and wish-list to establish a style and brief for the project. Over a series of drafts and tweaks, we refine the plan with you until it’s just right. We offer two types of landscape designs.

Package A is a 2D birdseye view, site plan with a plant and materials schedule. This is based on a standard block size of 500-800 square metres and would suit someone with a simple garden project; possibly looking to stage or source their own construction.

Package B is more in-depth, developing the site plan further with elevations and 3D models offering lifelike visuals. See examples of our renders below. This would suit a home needing an outdoor overhaul; incorporating multiple zones and elements such as a swimming pool, deck, outdoor kitchen and pergola landscaping.

Working drawings

Working drawings are produced when major structural elements such as a pool or outdoor room start to take shape during the conceptual process. The working drawings consider building codes and local government regulations, and are used for construction stage.

Construction documentation

We will arrange engineering, council permits, insurance and a contract to prepare for construction of your landscaping project. As a licensed builder, we are qualified to manage this step in-house rather than outsource to other trades or agencies to handle.
